The Year of Saint Paul
If you are celebrating Feast of the Conversion of Saint Paul today, the second reading is the same as for the 3rd Sunday in Ordinary time.
Reading II
1 Cor 7:29-31
I tell you, brothers and sisters, the time is running out….
For the world in its present form is passing away.
The way of faith
- At the end of time, the Kingdom of God will come in its fullness. Then the just will reign with Christ for ever, glorified in body and soul, and the material universe itself will be transformed. God will then be “all in all” in eternal life. (Catechism of the Catholic Church, 1060)
- The church believes that on the Day of Judgment all will appear in their own bodies before Christ’s tribunal to render an account of their own deeds. (Catechism of the Catholic Church, 1059)
- Everyone receives their eternal reward from the moment of their death in a particular judgement by Christ, the judge of the living and the dead. (Catechism of the Catholic Church, 1051)
