I am blessed. . . this is my first time to encounter Catechumenate, surprisingly with a Nigerian here in the Philippines pursuing a Masteral Degree in Business Administration. We are holding sessions – just 2-way old, and I thank God we’re doing well. She’s coming earlier; I thinks she has all the enthusiasm, according to her, after many searches.
The good thing in her is that she is a Christian – a Pentescostal. I am Head Catechist of our Parish Catechetical Ministry delegated by our Parish Priest to undertake Catechumenate. Since this is the first time Catechumenate is happening in the Parish, I am pursuing double time: search, research and STUDY more deeply for this Mission to accomplish – for THE GLORY OF OUR TRIUNE GOD: ALMIGHTY FATHER, THE SON, AND THE HOLY SPIRIT.
PRAY FOR ME ALSO THAT NOT ONLY ME TO BE BLESSED BUT THE CATECHUMEN AS WELL!

  2. It is so important to listen to our seekers’ stories. We can’t emphasize that enough. But the reasons given for staying in the church are actually reasons given for remaining a Christian but not necessarily a Catholic.

Why am I still a Catholic? Because it’s “home”. I discovered that when I was an RCIA candidate over 30 years ago.
