About Making Disciples Institute
The TeamRCIA Making Disciples Institute is a comprehensive overview of the entire catechumenate process, focusing on each period. You’ll explore how evangelization is the ongoing work of all the baptized and how the entire parish becomes the training ground for catechesis. If you’re new to catechumenate ministry, you’ll receive a thorough introduction to the process. And if you’ve been doing this ministry a while, you might be surprised at the new and deeper insights you will discover.

How Making Disciples works
Learning to be a disciple takes practice. So does learning to accompany seekers on their journey of faith. At the Making Disciples Institute, you will gain the skills you need by practicing interactive learning through engaging presentations, discussions, exercises, and prayer.
Your learning begins long before you arrive because you will receive pre-institute resources to help you prepare and make the best use of your time at the institute. The 1.5-day in person formation then builds on the wisdom you bring and on what you have already learned and experienced yourself. And you won’t be alone when the event is over. Through additional post-institute resources and ongoing support from TeamRCIA, you will have a community accompanying throughout your ministry.
